Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 August 2026
We collect the minimum needed to give you an account and keep your saved prompts on your devices. We do not track you, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
The prompt library ships inside the app, so most of what you do — browsing, searching, reading, copying — happens on your device and is never sent anywhere.
What we collect
Information you give us
| Data | Why | Linked to you |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Shown in the app. From Sign in with Apple and onboarding. | Yes |
| Email address | Provided by Sign in with Apple; identifies your account. With Hide My Email we only ever see the relay address. | Yes |
| Account identifier | A random ID your saved prompts and collections belong to. | Yes |
Information created by using the app
| Data | Why | Linked to you |
|---|---|---|
| Your library — saved prompts, collections, and counts of prompts you copy or share | So your library is there when you sign in on another device or reinstall | Yes |
| Diagnostics — crash reports, performance data, a device identifier | To find and fix crashes | No |
| Usage — which screens and features are opened | To understand which parts of the app are useful | No |
Sign in with Apple is required. There is no anonymous mode, because your library has to belong to an account to survive reinstalling the app.
What we never collect
No location, contacts, photos, health data, or advertising identifier. We do not use tracking as Apple defines it, so the app never shows the “Ask App Not to Track” prompt. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Payments
Subscriptions are sold by Apple, not by us. Payment happens entirely inside the App Store — we never see your card number, billing address, or Apple ID password. We receive only whether your subscription is currently active.
Manage or cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges; the App Store handles refunds.
Who processes data for us
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, and all subscription payments.
- Google Firebase — sign-in, database, file storage, crash reporting and analytics, on Google Cloud infrastructure.
These are processors acting on our instructions. Nobody else receives your data, and no third party receives it for their own advertising.
Where data is stored
Your account and library are stored on Google Cloud servers. If you use the app outside that region, your data is transferred there so the app can work.
How long we keep it
Your account and library are kept until you delete your account. Diagnostic and usage data is kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account inside the app, without emailing anyone: Profile → Delete account.
This permanently deletes your profile, your saved prompts and your collections, and disconnects PromptVault from your Apple ID. It cannot be undone.
Two things it does not do: it does not cancel your subscription — Apple owns billing, so cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions or you may keep being charged — and anonymous diagnostic records that cannot be traced back to you may remain.
You can also email us and we will delete your account for you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email us and we will help. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
PromptVault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
